Meanwhile, Hotdog Magazine in the United
Kingdom are reporting this week that the cancelled sci-fi series
"Roswell" (the one about the four alien kids living in New
Mexico) - is coming back in the form of a feature film. Much
like what's happened with the similarly cancelled "Firefly", the
magazine's saying that the DVD sales of Roswell's first season
did so well that creator Jason Katims is looking at continuing
the adventures of Isabel, Michael, Max and Liz on the big
screen.
A few days later
SciFi Wire posted the
same thing.
We've just received this email from
Katim's Assistant:

and I have been a little bit crazed this week. Jason’s working
on his new pilot for ABC, THE DE MARCO AFFAIRS, which finished
shooting this past month and is currently in post production. As
for the ROSWELL movie rumor, it is just that. The DVD has been
selling extremely well and Jason is very grateful to the fans
for their continued support. Presently, there is no ROSWELL
feature in the works. Of course, who knows what the future

coming out Feb 17th the promotion they deserve, RoswellMovie.net and

have joined forces to make sure that it is done properly. We have
many ideas, and they should be implemented soon, but we would also

calendar will not be up for Pre-order until Sept. 1. At that time,
an order page will be available at Yearbox.com that our page will
link to.

Well, the wait is almost over! In the next couple weeks we will
unveil the Roswell 2004 Calendar. This project has been an exciting
one from day one. We have some very talented people who have come
together to bring Roswell fans the best calendar we could. This
year’s calendar will be professionally made and will include:
--Twelve months of Roswell—All ten major cast members plus Candy and
Dreamer pages. Calendars will be printed in full-color throughout on
80 lb text stock, folded, stapled, and drilled for hanging. They
will include a front and back cover and 12 months (each including a
7.5 x 10 photo),
--The Candy page was created in memory of Becky Wagstaff. She
was creative, loving, loyal and silly. She shared her creative
writing with her fans worldwide. Two of the pictures on this page
were taken by Becky.
--Poems for each character by Noseedough, written
specifically for the calendar
All proceeds, as stated before, we’ll go to the
Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS
Foundation. Shilohaura has been in contact with a few
people at
Ped AIDS and they
are excited enough about the calendar that they want to be involved.
Not sure in what capacity, but I’m sure details on that will be
coming soon. We will start selling the calendar as soon as all of
the little details are finalized and will sell until November 11,
2003. Our goal is to raise $5,000 dollars for Ped AIDS,
so please, spread the word. They’ll make great gifts for any Roswell
fan you know, and they’ll get to you in time for the holidays. So,
be generous, children with AIDS all over the world will thank you.
Ordering details are as follows:
The calendars will be $18.99 + shipping and handling. You’ll
be able to use credit cards and
Paypal (which offers the option of drafting from your checking
account). Orders will be taken and shipped thru
www.yearbox.com. There will be
a separate page at this site for the Roswell 2004 calendar where you
can view each month’s page. This way you know exactly what you are
buying. We will also have a webpage set up at RoswellMovie.net with
info on the calendar and a link to our page at Yearbox.com. Good
news for fans overseas!! Yearbox.com will be going thru a hosting
change soon (this is when you'll see wall calendars added. Right now
there are just desktop calendars available there) and the new site
will include a way to calculate overseas shipping in real time. If
you miss the November 11 deadline, you will still be able to order
calendars. Be prepared for a price a few dollars more, but at least
you’ll be able to get one if you didn’t before Nov 11. As more
details come, I will post them.
