Brendan attended the SciFi
Roswell Premiere Party and FSMA Fund Raiser in Newark, New Jersey, in January
2003. Although he has maintained that he has been ready to move on from Roswell
and concentrate on movies since Season 3, he continues to have a close
relationship with his fans and is one of the most frequent participants at
Roswell fundraisers. He also continues to have a close friendship with
co-stars, Majandra Delfino and Nick Wechsler.
At the Newark party,
Brendan was asked if he would be interested in being part of a Roswell movie.
His first response was, “I OWNED the character!” Majandra commented “it would
be weird if they didn’t approach him (Brendan) first – that would make no
sense.” Brendan stated that he was pretty sure he would not play Michael in a
movie, but then followed that statement with, “I’m not going to say never,
‘cause I guess you never really know ‘til the time comes.” Brendan went on to
make many statements that made it obvious that he cared a great deal about his
“alter ego”, Michael Guerin. He also stated that he very much enjoyed working
with David Nutter and praised his talents and abilities.
Brendan’s manager once
posted on Brendan’s forum that “everyone in the cast would want the show to
continue if the quality of Season 1 had continued.” This would lead one to
assume that the initial production team and the storyboards they had in mind
were something that everyone involved, including Brendan, supported and wanted
to be a part of.
Since the Movie Campaign’s
goal is to get the initial production team involved in this project, and because
it also would involve his preferred media (movies), it is hoped that Brendan
could be enticed to “never say never” and join his fellow cast members in
continuing the legend of Roswell!
